Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information westtable.org collects, how it is used, and the choices available to visitors.

Last updated: May 22, 2026

Information collected

WestTable does not require registration and does not collect personal information from visitors who browse the site. The contact form on the home page collects name, email address, phone number (optional), and the message text you provide. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry.

Standard server log files may record IP addresses, browser type, referring URL, and pages accessed. These logs are used for technical maintenance and are not linked to personal identity.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses browser localStorage to store your response to the cookie consent banner. A single key (cookie_choice) records whether you selected Accept or Reject. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to any server.

No third-party tracking cookies are set by this site. If external resources — such as fonts loaded from Google Fonts — set their own cookies, those are governed by the respective provider's privacy policy.

Third-party services

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Requests to Google's servers may be logged by Google in accordance with their privacy policy. Images are served from Wikimedia Commons via direct URLs. Accessing those images may be logged by the Wikimedia Foundation.

This site does not use analytics software, advertising networks, or social media tracking pixels.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to the inquiry. Server log files are retained for a limited period for technical purposes and then deleted.

Your rights

Visitors in Canada have rights under applicable provincial privacy legislation. You may request access to personal information held about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion. To exercise these rights, contact editorial@westtable.org.

Disclaimer
